Elderly Care & Mobility

Physiotherapy focused on safer movement, balance and everyday confidence for older adults.

Maintaining mobility, strength and confidence becomes increasingly important as we get older, particularly for people managing joint pain, balance concerns, or the after-effects of a fall or period of illness.

Why this works well at home

A home assessment allows your physiotherapist to look at real, everyday risks — loose rugs, awkward steps, poor lighting on the stairs — alongside your physical assessment, and to build a plan that reflects how you actually live. It also avoids the fatigue and risk that travelling to appointments can bring.

What’s involved

Expect a focus on strength, balance, walking confidence and practical safety advice, along with exercises designed to fit realistically into your day. This service closely relates to our mobility, balance and elderly care condition page and is often relevant alongside joint conditions such as arthritis. Family members and carers are welcome to be involved in sessions.
