Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Assessment and treatment for pain and dysfunction affecting your muscles, joints and soft tissues, delivered at home.

Musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy is the foundation of most physiotherapy care. It covers the assessment and treatment of pain, stiffness, weakness or reduced movement affecting your muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons.
How it works at home
Your HSR physiotherapist begins with a thorough conversation about your symptoms, how they started, and how they affect your daily life, followed by a hands-on physical assessment of the affected area and your general movement. From there, they’ll agree a treatment plan with you, which may combine hands-on techniques, targeted exercise, movement re-education and practical advice for managing your symptoms day to day.
Treating you at home also lets your physiotherapist see how you actually move around your own furniture, stairs and daily routine — often revealing useful detail that a clinic room can’t.
Who it can help
This service is often relevant for people experiencing back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, and joint conditions such as arthritis. If you’re unsure whether your symptoms fit here, get in touch and describe what you’re experiencing — we’re happy to point you in the right direction.
